I used to love Gevalia and did not mind the fact that I was paying about $15 per pound or more as it was excellent coffee. They used to have some really good specials a few times a year and I would stock up then. Several years ago before Thanksgiving I ordered a gift of coffee for my mom. I did this so it would be delivered before Christmas. Thanksgiving came and went, so I contacted Gevalia and they told me that the coffee was shipped. A week later, still no coffee, so I tried to contact Gevalia again. I some how managed to loose the coffee filter holder and needed a new one. I did not see a way to order a new one on the Gevalia web site, so I decided to phone their customer service number. After a while on hold, I put it on speaker phone and went about my business. At 75 minutes on hold I write this complaint. Now I will hang up as I have calls to make. They are "playing with us". Well, it's finally happened, Gevalia. After 25 years, we are parting company. Why? Because you've been untrue to me...twice. You've been both unfaithful and ungrateful. First, you told me out of the blue that you were going to discontinue my coffee (Traditional whole bean). No explanation. Just gone. Then, a few weeks later, you changed your mind. We have been receiving Gevalia coffee for almost 20 years. We never had a problem with orders until Gevalia started selling in grocery stores. And now the coffee we enjoy is always on a back order! How can this be? I would not recommend Gevalia to anyone at this point. They have great coffee but it is just not worth the wait anymore. Gevalia has lost a loyal customer today. I have been a loyal Gevalia customer for many, many years. For the past 4 months - every autoship order has been backordered. I couldn't even get coffee in November or December. In March - my orders are still undeliverable. I was told that the reason for this was that they changed packaging. I bought the 9 pack Gevalia Cappuccino at Walmart for my Keurig. This comes with 9 packets of cappuccino froth and 9 cappuccino k cups. Well guess what, I got 8 froth packets. At about $1 a pop this is important. Bottom line there is NO WAY TO CONTACT THEM when you have a problem at the grocery store. I really like the product, but now am questioning the company. I have twice purchased the Gevalia Kcups. When they are put in my Keurig they run all over with coffee grounds. The cup does fill but, the grounds are in the cup and all ove the place. I had trouble with the first box and I thought that I would try them again and the same thing happened. Having been a Gevalia customer for many years I purchased items from their website to go along with my item purchased was a replacement carafe for my GEVALIA coffeemaker...when I had a need for said replacement today...the carafe did not fit...when I contacted Gevalia about this not fitting my coffeemaker I was told that it was my problem and not theirs... These twits sent me debt collection *** after I cancelled twice. Quite frankly their coffee sucks. Starbucks is 500% better. The collecting agency has not responded to my asking for verification and I might sue for harassment and anything else my lawyer deems applicable. I will be sending them notice next . Add comment
