I'm unemployed and looking constantly online for a job, which means hours upon hours sitting at the computer applying for anything that opens up...which means lots of coffee to keep me going during the days & nights. Unfortunately after washing my carafe to the stainless steel 12 cup, I accidentily bumped in into the counter, cracking it. Knowing how desperately I need coffee, I proceeded to go online & order the replacement carafe right away. I was shocked to see how much all expedited shipping was over standard (over $20!!!! ) I proceeded to go with standard as that's all we can afford on a 1 income budget.

A week goes by...no carafe & only the order confirmation e-mail. I finally went on & did some tracking. Turns out the shipping label wasn't even affixed to the box until 3 DAYS AFTER the order was placed, and then it was sent out 2 DAYS later!!!! It will be about 2 weeks in a couple of days and according to UPS tracking I won't see it until after this point.

I expected about a week lag, but come on! I feel as if I'm being punished for not upgrading to an expedited shipping option...and customer service has still to answer my e-mail from 3 days ago.

Bottom line...if you ordering from Gevalia & don't feel like paying an arm & a leg for shipping, purchase your coffee makers & coffee (at a much cheaper price & about the same quality) at your local target and grocery store.
