I received an order and membership from Gevalia that I never ordered. When I called them I asked what information they had no file for the order, because I didn't order it and I didn't authorize this charge on my credit card. They did not have a phone number nor my full legal name as is printed on the credit card. They had processed an order without complete billing information from someone who had stolen my credit card number. If they would have verified the information the thief gave them with the actual billing information they would have realized it was a fraud.

Sadly they lose out because they send me coffee that I am not paying for.

I would advise them to use better order verification practices...say how about asking for a billing phone number??? duh? The email used to place the order was a ridiculous parody of swear words, that should have been a huge tip off right there!

They agreed to cancel my membership. 129a603

ID thieves stole your cc info. Signed up for an affiliate program where Gevalia pays people to send them customers. Gevalia didn't know that they were fraudulent sales and they didn't get stolen credit cards themselves. The thieves do this to get paid by Gevalia. You guys will get your money back, but Gevalia is out the money they paid, the product that they sent you, and any charges that they have to pay. You guys feel like you were the victims... you weren't. Gevalia was.

Just happened to me. Came home from work, there is a Gevalia box on my porch. Realized yesterday there were a couple fraudulent charges on my cc, I canceled the card. Now this on the porch. I called them, they supposedly closed this account, they had not processed the charge yet and never will be able to. Ridiculous!!

Same thing just happened to me. I think it's obviously somebody who works for Gevalia, trying to pump up their sales.

Same thing happened to me in July 2010. The very same day I saw the debit card transaction when viewing my bank account online was the day I opened my front door and had a package from these people. I filed with BBB of Delaware and they never complied with my request to name their source of info on my bank account. Long story short -- I believe they have been doing some phishing!
