Written by Carolyn Bellamy on February 17, 2012 from birmingham, alabama, US I used to be a regular customer of Gevalia, and then started using KCup brewer, had not ordered in a year or more, when an order was droppedmon my porch by UPS, I called and told them I had not placed any order with them, they were to send me a return voucher (of which they should be sending to their valued customers anyway). Well, as you might guess next thing I get another order, which obviously they should have known not to send. So I called again and the Lady said she would take the charges off my account and send me a return voucher. Has been 4 months and still getting bills for past due shippments. Firstmof all why do they use ups and do not have you sign for it. they just drop off and run. I hate that, if they can't se the postal delivery I have a big problem with that, I will not pay for returning something I have not even ordered. |
| 2. Written by J L Uhrig on September 3, 2011 from -, -, US I also returned a shipment from Gevalia that was shipped in error. I received a bill for the $5.95 shipping fee, called and spoke to Ara, who assured me it would be taken care of. A month later, I get another bill stating I am 40 days past due. I called and spoke with Ray, who said it would be credited and I would not be receiving any more bills. I then received a bill stating I was more than 60 days past due, which I ignored because I was so tired of making so many redundant phone calls. I just received a 'FINAL' bill for the $5.95, telling me I would be turned over to a collection agency if I did not pay IMMEDIATELY. I called again today and spoke with Lester, who actually, (and I QUOTE) "GUARANTEED" me it would be removed and I would get no more bills, and I would NOT be turned into a collection agency. I Insisted on speaking to a Supervisor, because at this point I don't trust anything anyone there says. The Supervisor, June, informed me that the $5.95 would NOT be credited, and I WOULD be turned into a collection agency if I didn't send payment immediately. I asked "So 3 different people there, on 3 different occasions, LIED to me?! She wouldn't answer except to say that the shipping fee was a "valid charge' and I WOULD have to pay it. Do they REALLY turn you into collections for $5.95?! I hate to ruin a good credit rating, but I don't feel I should have to pay for Gevalia's error. |
| 3. Written by Dave on June 3, 2011 from -, -, US I returned a shipment from Gevalia unopened and they keep sending me a bill for $5.95 postage due for a shipment I didn't order. I am now getting duns from a collection co. I have spoke to them three times and sent them letters advising that I do not owe anything! I am looking for others who are or have the same problem. I am pushing for a class action law suit. I have had enough of their attitude! Want to get their attention? email me |
| 4. Written by Anon54 on March 14, 2011 from birmingham, alabama, US Gevalia has really gone downhill. There is no customer service or common sense. I, too, returned an unopened shipment that was sent in error by Gevalia. I have received a bill from them each month for about 3-months and I can't get it resolved. I would understand them billing for the $5.95 shipping charge IF the package had been opened...not the case here. If you thinking of joining for the supposedly FREE stuff, think again...nothing is FREE. |
